Our beliefs
-
We believe the entire Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, eternal Word of God. God gave the Bible to us through men who were moved by the Spirit to write the words of Scripture. It can and should shape the way we live. We accept the Scriptures as the final authority in all manners of faith, conduct, and doctrinal truths.
(Isaiah 40:8; Psalm 119:89, 160; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:16, 17; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:21)
-
We believe that there is one triune God, eternally existent as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They are all together one with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being. He created the universe, man in His image and is the Savior of all people.
(Genesis 1:1,26-27, 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; John 5:18,23; 10:29,30; 1 John 5:7; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
-
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was crucified on Calvary for our sins, and bodily rose from the dead; and that He has been exalted to the throne of God where He is the only mediator between God and man. He alone is Lord and Savior. We believe that through this death, burial, and resurrection we have personal salvation and power for victorious living.
(Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1, 14, 14:6; 20:28; Philippians 2:5-6; Colossians 1:15-18; 1 Timothy 2:5, 3:16; Acts 4:12; Revelation 1:8)
-
We believe the Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son of God. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling helps us live for Him every day. The Holy Spirit connects people to Christ, equips them in their relationship with God, and helps them share Christ with people who do not know Him. We believe in the personal baptism with the Holy Spirit as received by believers “at the beginning.” We believe in the present day manifestation of all the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the Church. We believe He guides believers into all truth and exalts Christ. He convicts people of their sin, God’s righteousness, the coming judgment, and makes us more like Christ.
(Genesis 1:2, Psalm 51:11; 139:7; Isaiah 61:1-3; Joel 2:28-29; John 1:10, 33; 15:26; 20:21-23; Acts 1:8; 2:4; 4:31; 8:17; 10:44-46; Romans 8:9-15; 15:18,19; I Corinthians 12:1-11, 27-31; 14:1-40; II Corinthians 1:21, 22;

We believe that the church is the body of Christ of which Jesus Christ is the Head. It is made up of people growing in God, celebrating God together, connecting to each other, serving those in need, and sharing Christ in their community. We believe the church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of Jesus’ great commission. Every person who is born of the Spirit is an integral part of the church as a member of the body of believers. There is a spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. The churches mission is to love God and Love people by fulfilling the Great Commission.
(Matthew 22:39; 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-16; Luke 24:46-48; John 17:11, 20-23; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:12-30; Ephesians 1:22-23; 2:19-22; 4:15-16; Colossians 1:18; Hebrews 12:23)
-
We believe that mankind was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him. We believe that all have sinned and stand in the need of redemption, which is received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, His death, burial, and resurrection. Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works or any human efforts.
(Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:11-13, 3:1-9, 15-18; Galatians 2:16, 3:8; Titus 3:5; Romans 10:9-10; Acts 16:31; Hebrews 9:22; Romans 3:21-24)
-
We believe that all people are called to repent - it is God’s will that no one perishes, but everyone comes to life-changing repentance. Repentance is a commitment to turn away from sin in every area of our lives and to follow Jesus fully.
(Isaiah 55:7; Matthew 3:1-2; Acts 2:38, 17:30-31; )
-
We believe that following faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, new believers are commanded by the Word of God to be baptized in water. Water baptism is an act of obedience which signifies our union with Jesus in death to sin, burial of the old nature, and resurrection to new life. Thus they declare to the world that they have died with Christ and that they also have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life.
(Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38, 8:12, 10:48, 16:33, 19:5, 22:16; Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12)
-
We believe in the return of the Lord Jesus Christ to Earth and the establishment of His Kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment and the ultimate victory of the eternal Kingdom of God. This will occur at a date undisclosed in Scripture. We await His return.
(Matthew 24:30, 26:63-64; Acts 1: 9-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-8; Revelation 1:7)
